Prof. Dr. IHSAN YILMAZ

After graduation, he settled in South Dakota, USA and started working with world-renowned ophthalmologist Vance Thompson. Meanwhile, his research on Phacik Intraocular Lenses was distributed as a handbook to more than 300 ophthalmologists in the surrounding states. In the same years, he worked with other successful doctors Dr.Alison Tendler, Dr.Keith Rasmussen and Dr.Dough Wallin.

He completed his education as the first and only student accepted from abroad by Dr. Vance Thompson, one of the doctors who performed the most Lasik surgeries in America and frequently participated in the studies of the FDA. He took part in the treatments (many drug applications and surgeries) performed for the first time in the world at Sanford Hospital. He returned to Istanbul in 2013.
